1941 Chris-Craft Runabout "Sylvia"
In 2007-2008 Stefan had the opportunity to participate in the restoration of Sylvia, a 1941, barrel back, custom Chris Craft Runabout, and what a beauty! These boats must certainly hold the title of the some of the prettiest pieces of production to ever grace our waters. "Sylvia" is owned by Matt Smith who runs the www.woodyboater.com blog.
After her bottom was restored, "Sylvia" was off to Deltaville, VA, where she was stored in the quonset hut of Kaptain Krunch, a long time friend and local sing painter and boat letterer. Stefan's task was to restore the stem, replace the deck, including the sheer block that had to be shaped by hand, and varnish the entire boat..
